The Chronicles of Toa Kovorix: Part 4

Part 4
From the Records of Artahka:

All I know of Kovorix is that he has landed on the main isle where the heat of the fighting is taking place. I am working on my latest invention for him, a transforming vehicle that will go on his back when compact, but the wings will expand and the vehicle will form via shrink and enlarge disks. It will be able to adapt to water, land and air.
These inventions are going to eventually be used on other Toa that are worthy. I like Kovorix’s nature, He is so humble, and even his thoughts are humble. He feels almost like a son to me.

Kovorix saw the first Zyglak leap at Krika. Out of instinct, he froze it in midair, using a small amount of his elemental power, then blasted it with his cordak blaster, shattering the creature into millions of pieces.
“Maybe my ice power can’t hurt them, but it can freeze them…the cordak blaster however….” Kovorix mused as he prepared for the onslaught.
Helryx was like a whirlwind, slashing the Zyglak, and dodging their attacks. Krika proved to be the most damaging to the creatures. His shadow ripped through their ranks like a flow of molten lava over trees. Kovorix continued the freeze and blast method combined with powerful strokes from his protosteel frost blades. Kovorix ducked under a slash from a Zyglak sword, parried another and froze the first one, blasting it to pieces with another well aimed cordak rocket. The second one, he cleaved in half, only to have to counter another. Then Kovorix felt the rush of battle and clicked into an adrenaline zone. He became unaware of any conscience he had before. Slashing right and left with great force, he gashed right through the weapons of the beasts, into their bodies. He continued to intersperse his freeze and blast method. Yet, more came. One blind-sided Krika and he fell to the ground. Helryx knew they had to retreat. She began to pick up Krika while Kovorix attempted to hold off the rest. Helryx may have been a great Toa, but her strength was not like her agility. She slowly lugged him back to her ship. Casting off, she ordered Kovorix to retreat and leap to the ship, but Kovorix was nowhere to be found in the melee.
“Kotrok!!” she called out
“I’m still here, he said.
Helryx saw a Zyglak go flying and was amazed at the sudden strength of Kovorix. They had him surrounded though and eventually, he was hit. Only slightly wounded, thanks to the Artahkan armor, Kovorix began to retreat towards the ship. Leaving Krika on the boat, Helryx tried to help Kovorix, but then was overwhelmed by the large amounts of the Zyglak. That was the last she saw of him. She kept the Zyglak at bay with her water power and waited as long as she could.

Kovorix continued to battle Zyglak, but he was disoriented. Instead of moving towards the ship, he moved inland. Kovorix then saw one of their chieftains. He was about one and a half times the size of normal Zyglak, which were almost 2 bios high (9 feet)! The huge savage roared as he charged towards Kovorix.
